Our heat-resistant thermoplastic Apec® is particularly suited for application in automotive industry, electronics, industrial lighting and medical devices.
It can comfortably withstand high temperatures up to 150ºC according to UL 746B and short-term exposure up to 200ºC. Owing to well dimensional stability, Apec® can be used for manufacture of precision low-tolerance parts. This makes it attractive replacement of glass, metal or standard polycarbonate in numerous applications at high temperatures. Unique Apec® features also provide high level of freedom of design along with a wide range of processing. Generally, it is processed by injection method and is available in transparent, turbid and special color formats. Material versatility further improves due to marks with UV-protection and fire resistance.
